F.A.Q.

Why see a registered dietitian as opposed to an unlicensed nutritionist?
When you see a registered dietitian you know that person has completed a four year degree in Human Nutrition as well as a comprehensive fifth year dietetic internship and has then passed the board exam.  To keep up with their registration dietitians must continue to work towards professional development credits to ensure they are up to date with the latest nutrition research.  Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist.  Whoever you choose to do your nutrition counseling, make sure they are a Licensed Dietetic Nutritionist (LDN) and Registered Dietitian (RD).
